Postcard from Japan: Ueno on November 1, 2016 - Part Two

We also attended a calligraphy exhibit that I think was a student show of work.  Shodo, as calligraphy is called in Japan, takes Chinese characters and goes beyond the actual meaning of the characters to an expression of the idea of the character(s) in the flow and movement of the artist's brush.
